2024 Peaceful Unification Lecture with North Korean Defector Lecturer

The Jincheon-gun Chapter (Head Chung Tae-heung) held a peaceful unification lecture on April 29 at the Jincheon Agricultural Technology Center. About 90 people, including leading member of the Jincheon County Livelihood Improvement Association, North Korean defectors living in the county and PUAC members, attended the event.

Chung Dae-han, a North Korean defector who directed the movie “Two Soldiers” and served as an advisor and actor in the movie “Escape,” gave a lecture on the theme of “A Long Way of Hardship, A Longer Way of Happiness.” The lecture was designed to understand the real situation of North Korea, spread awareness of the importance of reunification, reaffirm the will for peaceful reunification, form a unification consensus among the local residents, and strengthen the foundation for reunification in the local community.
