Memorial to Fallen Patriots, Campaign for Each Person Laying One Wreath 

The PUAC Seoul Dongjak-gu Chapter (Head Oh Chang-won) held a wreath-laying ceremony at the Seoul National Cemetery on May 28 on the occasion of the Month for Fallen Patriots and Remembering. About 70 people, including PUAC members, North Korean defectors, and local residents, participated in the campaign for ‘each person laying one wreath in tribute to the fallen patriots. 

The Dongjak-gu Chapter established a sisterhood relationship with the Seoul National Cemetery in May 2008 and has since been visiting the memorial tower in the cemetery, replacing old artificial wreaths at the sisterhood gravesites, planting one national flag at each gravesite, and cleaning the sanctuary every year. 

The participants remembered and commemorated the sacrifices of the heroes who fell for their country, strengthened their resolve to strive for peaceful reunification, and sweated their beads in the hot weather to do volunteer work in the cemetery.
