The exhibition, which was based on the testimonies of North Korean defectors, featured 11 articles relating to the right to life, the right to be free from torture and inhuman treatment, the right to physical liberty and security, the right to freedom of movement and residence, the right to privacy, the right to freedom of thought, conscience, and religion, the right to food, the right to work, and the right to women's rights.
Cho Hye-young, a PUAC council member and North Korean defector, and Chapter Head Han Young-hwan gave explanations about the exhibition to the visitors. Citizens and tourists who visited the exhibition said they learned more about human rights abuses, with some expressing shock at the extent of the human rights violations in the North. They said they had a meaningful time to learn a lot through the exhibition.
Other accompanying events included distributing brochures on North Korean human rights, sharing gwibalgisul, quiz on North Korean words and nutcracking.
