The Peaceful Unification Advisory Council(PUAC, Executive Vice-chairperson Kim Kwan-yong, Secretary General Tae Yong-ho), a constitutional organization directly under the President of South Korea, will co-host the "2024 Global Dialogue on Korean Peninsula Unification " in partnership with the national news agency YONHAP News. 

The conference, “Rising to the Challenges for a Unified Korea based on Freedom, Peace, and Prosperity,” will take over two days, November 11-12, at the JW Marriott Dongdaemun Hotel in Seoul. 

At the "2024 Global Dialogue on Korean Peninsula Unification," participants will assess the unification environment for Korea amid the prolonged global crises driven by the ongoing Ukraine conflict and the Israel-Hamas war.

Discussions will focus on strategies for international cooperation to realize a unified Korea based on freedom, peace, and prosperity. 

On November 11, experts on Korean Peninsula affairs will hold in-depth, closed-door discussions on a variety of topics, including the East Asian landscape following the U.S. presidential election, policy shifts toward the

Korean Peninsula, the rise of North Korea’s MZ (Millennial and Generation Z) generation, public perceptions on unification, and projections for North Korea’s situation in 2025. 

On November 12, the event will begin with a formal opening ceremony, followed by three public sessions: (1) "Changes in the International Environment and Challenges and Responses to Unification based on Freedom,"

(2) "Expansion of Access to Information and Human Rights in North Korea," and (3) "August 15 Unification Doctrine and International Cooperation."
